Shane Owens Releases Texas Style Tune, "Got Some Hurtin' Done Today"
Shane Owens is an old school kind of guy from Alabama. Shane is a traditional country music singer, greatly influenced by the Texas sound, singing gospel in church along with his piano playing grandmother. Shane Owens ha that undeniable Texas twang. Shane is a seasoned artist, with many accomplishments under his belt, he has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry Stage several times. Named as one of Rolling Stone Country magazine’s “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know, Shane continues moving forward with his new songs, and a new album incorporating that Texas traditional sound. His musical influences, George Strait and Alan Jackson, and George Jones to name a few, help to keep the beauty of the tunes and the old fashioned melodies current. The songs have a certain feel to them, some sound tough, some sound sad, and the root of all of them is that gospel influence.
Got Some Hurtin’ Done Today is the pinnacle of the Texas sound. When you hear the steel guitar playing, it just brings out emotions which make the song very relatable.Like you have felt the hurt from a breakup before.
The song's message is about making a brand new start and getting over a broken heart. Shane sings about how a broken heart can affect your whole world. Oh how you can hear the traditional country music sound. Shane is a true believer of his style and the Texas influence that he so beautifully performs for his listeners. Shane’s newest album,
Thankful For Country Music , is all about love songs, and the traditional sound “Shane stated in our interview, that “he believes the traditional sound is making a huge comeback”, and he is right on the cusp of it all.
A Beautiful quote from Randy Travis about Shane,
“Shane Owens brings it all…vocal, writing, performance, and passion. He has paid his dues, remained committed to traditional country and brings you a song with heart and a story. Songs that will get you through the tough times and enjoy the happy times; and, lyrics that will remind you of the threads in life that make you the fabric you are today. He will bless you with his talent and his kindness. To Shane, I gladly pass the baton”
Wonderfully said Randy!!
Shane has performed for audiences as large as Jamboree In the Hills, where 100,000 people attended and he has played on the Grand Ole Opry stage several times.
