Country star on the rise, QUEEVA released her new love song, “How Do You Know?” and music video. How do you know this is love? I wanted to find out more from QUEEVA herself. Here’s an inside look of everything you need to know about QUEEVA, from the behind the scenes of her latest song, her musical influences, style, and even advice for other fellow aspiring artists.
What’s the story/inspiration behind “How Do You Know? For “How Do You Know,” I wanted to write a song that talks about young love and the fact that adults think younger people can’t be in love. In my opinion, nobody can actually understand what is in someone’s heart. Although this song isn’t based off of personal experiences, it is still based on relationships that I see happening around me.
What are three words that describe your style? I would say fun, energetic, and inspiring.
What do you love about country music? I love that country music is about storytelling. The songs are so meaningful, and everyone can relate to the lyrics in different ways.
Who are some of your musical influences? At the moment, my main musical influences are Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris because Kelsea has such great stage presence and Maren has such a cool tone to her voice.
If there’s one thing your fans could remember you by, what would it be? I would want my fans to remember me as an inspiring young singer. I especially want people to remember me through my music.
Being at a young age and making your way in the music industry, how have you stayed so focused? Since I was 3 years old, I always wanted to sing. It was a huge dream of mine to become a singer, and I wanted that dream to come true so badly. Having such a great team behind me and especially having a mentor like Jamie O’Neal has been a huge help along the way.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Hopefully in 10 years I will be on tour performing for a huge crowd. That would be so awesome!!
What would be your advice for someone who wants to pursue a music career? The best piece of advice that I can offer is to never give up. I have learned through the struggles that I have faced to keep going and push through because if I stopped, I would not be where I am today. Keep believing in yourself, and don’t lose hope; stay true to who you are!!
