Harper Grace Named to CMT "Next Women of Country" Class of 2021

Singer/songwriter Harper Grae continues to solidify her place in the Nashville music scene following an announcement Saturday morning (1/23) on the CMT Hot 20 Countdown naming Grae to CMT’s “Next Women of Country” Class of 2021. Later today (4pm CST) a one-hour digital special, “CMT Presents: Next Women of Country Class 2021” will be available on Harper’s Facebook page and on the CMT YouTube channels.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the newest class of CMT’s Next Women of Country,” said Leslie Fram, Senior Vice President, Music & Talent, CMT. “These artists represent the best of fresh new talent and the diversity of styles that country music has to offer. CMT Press Release Link.

Additionally, Grae released her latest single “Caviar and Bars” on Friday, January 22, with an accompanying animated lyric video. “Caviar and Bars’ is all about having a good time; going out to your favorite bar, recognizing who you are and what you love on the dance floor!” says Grae, who co-write this song with Michael Logen and Craig Wilson.

The track, produced by Forrest Finn, is Grae’s second release off her upcoming project due out later this year. “Muddy Water,” her first release debuted back in Dec. 2020. The song started from the idea that we cannot escape our past, nor the choices of our loved ones. The video for “Muddy Water” premiered exclusively with CMT and video peaked at #3 on CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown. It illustrated the journey Grae took towards coming to grips with her past and embracing her future ahead.
