Jax and Musicat TV Light Up a New Era of Teen Wellness with Music as the Messenger

In a world where teen mental health is too often pushed to the sidelines, pop star Jax and youth media trailblazer Musicat TV are stepping in with a bold, creative answer: let the kids sing about it.

Known for her no-filter candor and viral anthem “Victoria’s Secret,” Jax has teamed up with Musicat TV to champion emotional wellness through a high-impact campaign that’s as entertaining as it is healing. Their latest project blends music, mentorship, and storytelling in a way that puts the spotlight squarely on teen voices.

At the center of the partnership is a must-see appearance by Jax on The Musicat Show, the network’s signature teen-hosted wellness variety series. In an honest and empowering interview, she reflects on her own mental health journey—from panic attacks to imposter syndrome—and speaks directly to the young creators interviewing her. “The one thing I wish every teen knew is that you're not alone—ever,” Jax says. “And your voice matters.”

But this isn’t your average celebrity soundbite. Jax backed up her message by judging Musicat Heals Your Heart, an international songwriting contest that encouraged teens to put their struggles, hopes, and healing into song. After reviewing submissions from around the globe, the grand prize was awarded to Freddie Vokes, a teenage artist from Nottingham, UK. His moving song earned him a $1,000 prize and an upcoming recording session with reggae royalty Maxi Priest—a dream moment for any emerging songwriter.

Musicat TV is now expanding the effort with Musicat Heals Your Soul, a global jingle contest inviting kids and teens to create short, powerful songs or chants that celebrate self-worth, resilience, and kindness. Winners will be mentored by guest artists and have their jingles featured across Musicat TV and a network of hospitals through a collaboration with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation.

Since its launch, Musicat has emerged as one of the most innovative wellness media platforms for young people—combining colorful animation, live-action segments, and youth-led storytelling to reach kids where they are. Now featured in 15 children’s hospitals nationwide, the platform is growing fast—and attracting major allies like Jax, whose authenticity and artistry align perfectly with Musicat’s mission.

“Jax doesn’t just talk about mental health—she lives it, and she lifts others up while doing it,” said Sage Christensen, co-founder of Musicat TV. “That’s the energy we want to share with every young person who tunes in, picks up an instrument, or finds the courage to tell their story.”

Submissions for the Musicat Heals Your Soul contest are open through July 1, 2025, at musicattv.com. Whether it’s a shout of joy, a lyric of love, or a chant of courage, the campaign invites youth everywhere to raise their voices—and know that someone’s listening.

In this groundbreaking collaboration, Jax and Musicat TV are proving that sometimes the most powerful kind of therapy starts with a melody—and a microphone.
