Texas Country Artist Heather Nikole Harper Reveals Her Diversity with New Music

Not every artist has the ability to perform in multiple genres, and this is not the case with East Texas native Heather Nikole Harper who just released her country single “Turn It Up” as well as her pop album “Stronger.” Bridging the two genres is something that Harper has strived to accomplish in her career but doesn’t favor one genre over another. “I don’t prefer one genre over another because I love being different and unique and it allows me to do everything and not everyone gets to do that. It also shows that I am multi-talented and that’s why I am putting out a pop and a country album.” This same uniqueness has brought fans from both sides of the spectrum and is something that Harper will continue to do throughout her career.

Harper has had quite the success musically, auditioning for shows like American Idol and The Voice where she gained the confidence that took her to the next level. “I got to meet some other amazing artists just like me and who could sing really well and I think it’s all about what they’re looking for and of course you’re criticized and the best thing to do is learn from it and I got better because of that.” She has also performed on world famous stages like Forth Worth’s Billy Bob’s where country stars like Willie Nelson and George Strait have graced the stage.

She also happens to be a member of the Highway Women, who strive to support and encourage other females in the music industry. The eight women crew are approaching their careers with a “go big or go home” mindset. Harper says that she enjoys being part of the group and looks to continue to help the female population in music. “It’s really exciting! Bringing us together has been really cool. We were just talking about how we need more women in Country music and I do strongly believe in that. I don’t feel like we are being recognized as much as the male artists. We are releasing our first single on November 30th, "The Devil". I am heading to Nashville this Winter to lay down some more tracks with the ladies."

Heather Nikole Harper’s work ethic and her passion to release good music is what will set her above her competition. Harper will continue to tour as the rest of remainder of 2018 comes to a close.
