Jeannie Seely Presented 2020 Bill Anderson Icon Award by Love From Music City



Grammy winning artist and Grand Ole Opry member,Jeannie Seely, was honored with theLove From Music City Bill Anderson Icon Awardon Oct 29th at the Grand Inheritance in Gallatin, TN. The gala serves as a fundraiser to bring businesses and people of the community together to help reach those in our local community and bring hope to those suffering abroad. It  is committed to providing for the physical, emotional and educational needs for children, Foster Kids, poverty-stricken families, and Veterans in need. “This is a very special honor for me, receiving an award named for my friend Bill Anderson,” exclaimed Jeannie Seely! “It is always very rewarding for me to be a part of anything supporting our neighbors in need,  especially children. I believe also that we can accomplish so much more when our communities work together.”


“We are thrilled to give the Bill Anderson Icon Award this year to Jeannie Seely at this years LFMC Gala this will help us help military vets, foster kids and orphans in need,” stated Founder of Love From Music City, Shanda Tripp.


Jeannie Seely has been a long standing advocate of charitable organizations. She is considered a forerunner in opening doors and bringing country music to wider audiences around the world. Through a special invitation from the White House she was named a Goodwill Ambassador at the annual United Nations Concert. Jeannie was first recipient of the Standing Ovation Award, which is now called the Jeannie Seely Standing Ovation Award  recognizes a woman who has created influence and significance in the entertainment industry and has shown the advocacy of other women in her field by mentoring and supporting them in their professional success. She generously shares her time, advocating for her community and various organizations. She has also served on the Board of Directors for both the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, the Donelson-Hermitage Chamber of Commerce and as a longtime spokesperson for the Humane Society. She is also actively involved in the Opry Trust Fund which provides financial assistance to those in need in the country music industry. 


Performances at this year's event included John Berry, Steve Dorff and Marlon Hargis and Sonny LeMaire of Exile and touching virtual performances by Johnny Lee and Mickey Gilley as well as special video congratulations by Heidi Newfield and Rhonda Vincent.
