The Voice Alumni Bri Fletcher Releases "Help Myself"

Bri Fletcher is a Fort Worth, Texas–born country singer-songwriter now based in Nashville. Her sound blends country roots with R&B and pop influences, giving her music a soulful, modern edge while keeping storytelling at the center.

She gained national attention on Season 25 of The Voice, earning a spot on Team Chance the Rapper and standing out for her raw delivery and depth as a vocalist. Since then, she’s collaborated with artists including Sammy Arriaga and Jake Hoot, and her debut EP Chapter One has surpassed 3.5 million streams.

Fletcher has performed at Nashville staples The Bluebird Cafe and Whiskey Jam, and she’s also a regular performer with Song Suffragettes, the city’s premier all-female songwriter showcase highlighting emerging artists. “Help Myself” opens with crisp acoustic guitars and a shimmering melody that immediately draws listeners in. Fletcher’s floaty runs and expressive phrasing give the track a confident, emotionally honest tone. 

“‘Help Myself’ is about using other people’s chaos as a distraction,” Fletcher says. “I’ve mastered being the strong one, the dependable one — just not the vulnerable one.” The result is an intimate, relatable track that showcases her vocal control and emotional delivery.

At its core, the song is a confessional look at what happens when helping everyone else becomes a distraction from facing your own struggles. Fletcher captures that tension in the chorus: “A healthy distraction, that’s what I call it to all my friends / If I’m fixing you, then I don’t gotta deal with me yet / What I push down’s coming back up, but it don’t ever keep me from / doing everything for everybody else / everything but help myself.”
