Before Midnight with Jake Dodds

Country Musician, Jake Dodds stays busy throughout the year touring. However, he recently treated his fans with a brand new single "Before Midnight". Dodds discusses the inspiration behind the single, favorite fan moments and inspiration to become a musician.

Thank you for chatting with Music Update Central! You just released a single called "Before Midnight". What is the inspiration behind this single? Before Midnight is just a fun song about letting loose with a night out. We all may be stressed or have something going on but once you're out with friends and maybe having a few drinks we let loose and get going. Sometimes we just aren't good to go Before Midnight! ;)

If you could have one person cover "Before Midnight" who would it be and why? That's a tough one. Any of my musical heroes! Garth especially, but I cant really hear him on this one. It would probably play best for a Tyler Farr or Jason Aldean style tune.

What's your favorite fan moment? I think the coolest moments are meeting little fans. They are so excited and I remember what it was like to be a fan at that age. I don't want to let them down!

When did you know that you wanted to pursue a musical career? When Garth did one of those huge tv specials in the 90s I remember watching and seeing him running back and forth and singing. All of the energy and I was just thinking I want to do that.
