The writers of the song are Amanda Pruitt & Davis Corley. Amanda Pruitt shares "The inspiration for the song "Shake the dust" is a phrase mentioned many times in the bible, speaking on leaving the negative behind and going on to something better. Biography: The Highway Women is an all female country music band like no other bringing a musical movement to uplift, inspire women and young girls in the music industry and beyond. Heather Harper is an East Texas native with a diverse love of performing all genres of music including Country/Pop/Blues. The girl has no limits when it comes to her music and we love that trait. In 2019 her single "Shouldn't Have Fallen" has been placed in the movie "Insincere Twins" which will be released on Netflix and BET as well as select theaters. She is a force in the East Texas region and she is now a part of our Highway Women Family! Amanda Pruitt is a singer songwriter who hails from East Texas but she calls her home Nashville. Amanda is one of the hardest working women in the music business, Amanda Pruitt, is on the rise to stardom by doing things the old fashion way. She also co-founded Get It Girl Nashville, an organization that offers business and creative support for female singer/songwriters in a male dominated industry, and also raises money for charitable groups such as Women’s Shelters and Breast Cancer Awareness. Drew has appeared at the legendary Bluebird cafe on numerous occasions and is seen regularly in writer rounds in Music City.
