NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 8th, 2021) – Singer/songwriter Derek Randall releases highly anticipated new single Monster.

"I don’t like revealing what my songs are about to me. I don’t want to take away from what it may mean to someone else. But in a nutshell, it’s about holding on to something you love even if the world is against you." explains Derek.

All it took was singing along to a Garth Brooks CD in his mother’s station wagon for a young Derek Randall to find his direction in life.

Derek Randall grew up in Missouri where he found his love of sound from artists Frank Sinatra to Klaus Meine. After learning some guitar chords in high school, Derek was launched into the genre of rock where his band opened for the likes of Seether, Saliva, Shinedown, and Halestorm. Now he is taking his rock roots and lively stage presence to the country music world. His diverse experience and influence allow him to create his own unique sound – a mixed-drink of emotion-packed country and fist-pumping rock ‘n roll. Derek released his debut single, “Light the Night Up” in August 2020.

Music and family are of the utmost importance in Derek’s life and that can be seen in his interactions to his listeners and his bandmates.

“I play music for the connection,” Derek explains. “I love how music brings people of all backgrounds together. Especially at live events. It doesn’t matter your background or where you may be headed in life. At that moment the crowd and the band become one and share that moment. That moment can never be taken from us.

It is hard to find Derek without his band: Sean Jones (lead guitar), Jesse Benton (rhythm guitar), and Dustin Taberski (drums).
