Sam Alex Hosts Celebrity Kickball Tournament during CMA Fest 2019

On Sunday, June 9th national radio personality, Sam Alex hosted the first annual Celebrity Kickball Tournament in Nashville during CMA Fest 2019.

Sam Alex brought together over 20 different artists to raise awareness for Get Caught Reading, a nationwide campaign to remind people how much fun it is to read. The artists who participated were Carolyn Miller, Emma White, Hayley Orrantia (The Goldbergs), Honey County, Jackson Michelson, Jet Jurgensmeyer (Last Man Standing), Jordan Brooker, Jordyn Stoddard, Leah Turner, Lena Stone, Levon, Luke Pell (The Bachelorette), Maggie Baugh, Mary Sarah (The Voice), Missy Lancaster, Payton Taylor, Raleigh Keegan, Sarah Ryder, Stephen Martines (Vampire Diaries), Tara Thompson, Thomas Finchum (Olympic Diver), Tyler Dial, and William Michael Morgan.

All were encouraged to donate and share a book to the Little Free Library, a nonprofit that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world.


About Get Caught Reading: Get Caught Reading is a nationwide campaign to remind people how much fun it is to read. It’s supported by the Association of American Publishers (AAP) and has been supported by Dolly Parton, former First Lady Laura Bush, Spider-Man, and more. Hundreds of teachers and librarians across the U.S. have embraced the campaign. They are setting up "Get Caught Reading" corners, allocating a special time each day for leisure reading, and taking photos of students "caught reading" for classroom posters.
