Dusty Leigh Huston can be characterized by catchy lyrics, strong vocals, and the confidence she exudes. Huston knows there will always be people that will doubt her, underestimating what she is capable of. She can not wait to prove them wrong.

"The Hell I Won't" is memorable because of the fearlessness that every second of this song projects. The rocking beat played in parallel to Huston’s vocals is upbeat and driving, moving the energy forward. "The Hell I Won't" has that perfect, stimulating effect that just makes you want to dance. A strong electric guitar plays as Huston takes us through each verse. There is a twang in the guitar solo, taking the single to a whole new level. She sings, “Tattoo on the back of my neck, says respect/so I don't forget/Where I'm from, what I'm made of, where I'm headed next," embodying Dusty's genuine personality and heart.

The song closes as Dusty belts a stellar high note, making her message clear. She will not let anything stand in her way. The guitar drifts off into the background, while the listeners are left begging for an encore.

THE HELL I WON'T Written by Dusty Leigh Huston, Craig Wilson, and Mary Kutter Production by Chas Childers Engineering by Kyle Hershman Recorded at The Sound Kitchen in Nashville, TN

An Idaho native and named after her mother’s favorite band ZZ Top, Dusty Leigh grew up in a family where music was an endless flow of country greats, and rock gods of the ’70s and ’80s. Dusty Leigh's beginning is not one of the traditional means. Dusty Leigh has always been hell-bent on pursuing her music dreams. Anyone that knows Dusty Leigh knows she refuses to take life lying down and she never gave up on those dreams; though it would be years later that she found her place in the music world.

Shortly after losing her mother to suicide, Dusty Leigh married her high school sweetheart and together they would spend the next 15 years living the military life. It was during their last military tour in North Carolina that Dusty Leigh’s husband put together a band, known at the time as Whiskey Creek, comprised of all active-duty military members. The band quickly fell together and pushed Dusty Leigh out of her comfort zone and straight onto the stages surrounded by thousands.

Though the adventure was short-lived, it wasn’t in vain. Dusty Leigh’s itch to be on stage again set in and soon Dusty Leigh & The Claim Jumpers was born. In the summer of 2019, Dusty Leigh was signed to Emanant Music Group with legendary Producer, Chas Childers. Wasting no time, song selection began and it was like wildfire to fulfill her childhood dream of releasing her first album. Roots & Dreams, Dusty Leigh’s debut EP was released in February 2021.

Dusty Leigh has a gift for delivering honest and emotional material. Her vocals blend naturalistic lyrics with country-music ideals and draws listeners in using heartfelt melodies and genuine emotion that she herself has lived. Dusty is continuing to release music while working on her sophomore album The Hell I Won’t.
