“My husband played in the NBA for many years and I have always just loved watching post-game press conference interactions between the players and reporters. When planning the “Nah” video, Logen (director) and I decided to have the scenes set within my own post-game press conference where I’m getting bombarded by questions, and then my response ends up becoming a viral moment,” tells Tucker. Throughout the video, there are hidden easter eggs that people will eventually pickup up as they look back on Nichol’s career. Most of the video was filmed at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, TN. The video was directed by Logen Petersen. Talking about the inspiration behind the song itself, Tucker explained that “I used to beg for this person to change. I begged a mutual relationship to help me to figure out a way to co-exist with this other person.” Nichol aims to change the stigma around emotional and mental health with her debut album “Too Close To Home." The project was written alongside Mary Weitz (FLETCHER, Alina Baraz, Normani) and Adam Korbesmeyer and Jerry Lang II of cut&dry (Remi Wolf, PRETTYMUCH). The single "This Is Why" has received placements on VEVO DSCVR R&B, MTV Live, MTV Spankin’ New, and BET Soul. "This Is Why" was also added to Sirius XM Hits 1.
