Longtime friend and collaborator, Garth Brooks, inducted singer/songwriter/story

(Fort Worth, TEXAS) Cody Jinks arrives in top positions on the charts with his two new album releases this month. After The Fire, which came out October 11, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Album Sales chart; a first-time top position on the chart for Jinks. The album also lands at No. 2 on Billboard's Top Country Albums and takes the top spot for Billboard's Americana/Folk Albums, a feat his previous album release 2018's Lifers held.

After The Fire also gained Jinks entry onto Pollstar's all-genre Elite 100 Artists chart which ranks artists weekly based on music sales and streaming. The album is noted for sales being Jinks' strongest metric with 14,500 for the week, sales of 7,600 songs and more than 10 million on-demand streams.

"Jinks nimbly glides between the light and dark on After the Fire,

never dwelling too long in either extreme and that balance helps

the album feel both modest and fully realized... its ease and craft

are a testament to the depths of Jinks' talent as both

a songwriter and a singer."

"...all the old outlaw signifiers are presented as sincere. That slight hint of self-awareness helps give The Wanting a lightness during its songs of alcoholism, loneliness, and lost love,  a lightness that helps make the record a balm  during tough times." - All Music

The Wanting, which just dropped last week, comes in at No. 2 on iTunes Top Albums. Both albums are the first offerings from Jinks' own label, Late August Records. Expect more surprises as he also posted news that he is heading back to the studio this December.

New songs from The Wanting, "Same Kind Of Crazy As Me," "Which One I Feed," and the title track have been available in advance of the album on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, and all digital service providers.

Featured on After The Fire tracks "William And Wanda," "Think Like You Think," and "Ain't A Train" were also available ahead of the album releases. Jinks' adds insight into "William And Wanda" saying "We lost my grandfather earlier this year. My mother's father was the only grandfather I had, and we got closer than we had ever been after the death of my grandmother. He fought in Korea and was a part of the last great generation, so when Nanny died, we all saw a different side of him. When 'William And Wanda' came as an idea, I knew I had to write a song about how my nanny probably fussed at him for being late to heaven. I started the song shortly after his funeral, and my wife Rebecca helped me finish it. She would say, 'Your nanny would have said this,' and I would respond with what Papa would have said. It's the first full song Rebecca and I have sat down and written together. We are so proud of it; it's celebrating a 60 year love story told by two people building their own."

At the end of August, Jinks made his Grand Ole Opry debut. His three-song performance at the historic establishment that made county music famous, started with Clint Black personally introducing Jinks on stage and was followed by a standing ovation.  Jinks continues his fall tour throughout the United States. His concerts in St. Louis, MO and Fredricksburg, TX are sold out, while his November 8 show in Asheville, NC at the US Cellular Center is nearly sold out. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster. See full itinerary below for more dates. Also coming in the near future is the launch of The Cody Jinks "FAM CLUB," as well as news about Jinks' Second Annual Loud and Heavy Fest. The inaugural multi-stage 10-hour music, arts, and food festival took place last year in his Fort Worth, TX hometown. The Dallas Morning News raved that "the thousands of misfits in attendance, for this one night at least, fit perfectly together," while Rolling Stone hailed the event as an "Outlaw Alternative to Status Quo."
