KALIE SHORR BUILDS ANTICIPATION FOR “BRUTALLY HONEST” NEW ALBUM OPEN BOOK

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (September 20, 2019) – Kalie Shorr continues to intrigue and surprise listeners with her ability to express herself through clever but clear lyrical and dynamic choices. The newest track released today, F U Forever,” is both brilliantly alarming but incredibly relatable and has increased the anticipation for her full-length debut album, Open Book, releasing next Friday (Sept. 27). The song was penned by Shorr with Candi Carpenter and Annie Wildgen. Due to fan-demand, last week’s instant grat tracks, “Too Much To Say” and “Escape,” have been made available on all digital platforms alongside the new song. Open Book is available to pre-order and pre-save now.

Shorr’s first single from the album, “Lullaby”, made its radio premiere last weekend when Bobby Bones selected it for his Women of iHeartCountry radio show that is syndicated nationally on iHeartCountry stations. After that airing, Bobby decided to include it on that program again this coming weekend.

“I’ve never been more excited or more afraid to put out music into the world. I’ve always written from a real place, but these songs are like three minute journal entries. Seeing them resonate means more than I even realized it would. I’m very thankful to Bobby Bones and Amy for having ‘Lullaby’ on their show and for all of the outlets who have already written about these songs. The fan reaction has also been completely new. It really validates me as both a human and an artist and proves my theory that at the end of the day, authenticity always matters. I’m happy to have the freedom to share my truth on this album, and especially on a song like ‘F U Forever,’“ said Kalie Shorr.

Additionally, an acoustic performance video for “Too Much to Say” was debuted by Sounds Like Nashville yesterday with the outlet also teasing the “brutally honest” album that is to come.

“With just an acoustic guitar and nothing to hide behind, Shorr turns in a stripped-down version of the heartland rocker, adding another layer of confessional courage to an already-bold piece of work.” - Chris Parton, Sounds Like Nashville

The buzz about Shorr’s album has been growing as it has been featured by numerous outlets including Rolling Stone, Taste of Country, and The Boot. Recently Shorr released a music video for her single “Lullaby,” debuted by the women-centric “The Drop” on Refinery29. Upcoming tour dates include opening slots for LeAnn Rimes in Norwalk, Conn. (Oct. 25) and Rochester, N.H. (Oct. 27), a show with NY Country Swag on the Clipper City in New York, N.Y., and Kalie’s fifteenth appearance at the Grand Ole Opry on September 28 followed by an album signing event in the Opry Shop.
