Joe and Martina & Karen McCormick Headline Fremont County Fair

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 16th, 2019) - Nashville-based musicians, Joe and Martina and Karen McCormick are set to perform in Sidney, Iowa during the Fremont County Fair on Friday, July 19th at 8pm.

Originally from California's Central Valley, Joe and Martina’s agricultural roots prepared them for the intense routine and dedication that’s necessary for establishing a career in the entertainment business. "We are big 'Ag-Vocates,” said Martina. “Being involved in the FFA in high school taught me morals and values. It really made me the woman I am today.” Now performing together for the better part of a decade, Joe and Martina have toured primarily up and down the West Coast and across the United States playing clubs, theatres, and rodeos as well as opening for national acts such as Blake Shelton, Lee Brice, and Montgomery Gentry to name a few.

Brazzaville, Congo native Kären McCormick has always had a passion for music. Growing up in the state of Washington, her father encouraged her to join the church choir at a young age. She discovered her love for country music at age eleven, after hearing Taylor Swift’s hit song “Tim McGraw” on the radio. Inspired by artists like Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill, Kären released her first autobiographical single, “Just a Song,” in March 2018. It has already garnered more than 15,000 streams and has been recognized by The Daily Country as “a universal pop-country track which recalls a certain superstar.” Her sophomore single, “We Were on Fire,” was released in August 2018 with rave reviews from fans and press.
