Erin Grand Warps Acoustic Casual Sessions Series with Final Video & EP Drop

Pop-country powerhouse Erin Grand wraps her April Casual Sessions video series - a visual collection of her debut EP Anything But Casual’s five tunes reimagined with stripped-back production - with the release of her final video for project closer and title track “Casual (Casual Sessions),” out now. Grand’s taken the past month to drop a new acoustic track and corresponding video from the project each week, culminating in the entire Casual Sessions EP being available on all digital platforms.

"'Casual' was a super personal song for me in the sense that it was inspired by some experiences from past relationships,” Grand told Entertainment Focus of the EP title track. “This song just spilled out of me. I wrote it with Alex Kiel and Cody Cooper, and it was an amazing write. It went so quickly, and I think that’s because it came from such a personal place. 'Casual' also plays off the title of my EP Anything But Casual, which just explains my day-to-day personality and lifestyle. When it comes to my relationships, it’s the opposite. Always very casual.”

Anything But Casual was produced by Alex Kiel, with vocals produced by Brad Hill, and all five debut tracks were co-penned by Grand. The project also includes previously released tunes like the carefree, quirky “Better With Wine”; “poignant and melancholy tune” (Sounds Like Nashville) “Lonely Does”; “Heartless,” which portrays the authentic power of being vulnerable; and “Casual,” the EP’s title track. The collective exemplifies the Minnesota native’s distinct vocal tenor and strength, and candid (oftentimes witty) lyricism - the culmination of which continually merits new fans and positions her as one of the industry’s most promising talents.
