"Story to Tell" originated when the songwriter, Rob Carona pitched the song to my label, Heart Songs Records. My manager sent me the song and I literally fell in love with the track. I was a bit intimidated by the lyrics and melody, it definitely stretched me as an artist. So I contacted Rob and we worked on the vocal presentation together. BIOGRAPHY - STEVEN JOHN SIMON: Steven John Simon is country star on the rise! He is what we refer to as a big jack in the box surprise! In 2018 he signed to a management production deal with Heart Songs Records. Over the course of a year he has developed a loyal fan base of country music fans that are helping him drive his career forward.
Steven was born and raised in Louisiana. He is a family man and loves being a single father to his two children Navika & Cole. Steven works in the oil field as did his father and most of the men in his family. He ventured into the oil field after serving our country in the Marine Corps. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton (California) for two years and then spent three years on security at the Embassy in Dakar, Senegal, West Africa & Singapore. Steven is currently a Subsea Engineer which includes the operation and maintenance of the Blowout Preventers (BOP's).
Steven became interested in singing at the age of 20 but put his dream on the back burner to serve our country. Some of his favorite musical influences are Luke Combs, Kane Brown, Travis Tritt, George Strait and all of the legends that paved a path in the county music world. Steven said recently in an interview, "My main reason for pursuing it now is to show my kids that anything is possible if you WORK for it! No one will hand it to you, you have to make it happen."
Steven released his first single "Tongue Tied" release on 11.30.18. Produced by: Larry Beaird The single debuted on iTunes Chart at #68. The music video has been viewed over 100K on facebook & youtube. His second single "Eyes Closed" released on March 15th 2019. His single "Life is Good" released on May 17th 2019 with a music video that has over 50K Streams.
Steven is an Ambassador for the American Cancer Society. He is involved with the Real Men Wear Pink Initiative. Steven also leads a yearly Toys 4 Tots Campaign during the holiday season. Last year he helped collect a truck full of toys for the local Marine Corp.Toys 4 Tots Unit. He is already working on the December 2019 holiday toy drive!
