Cory Singers Bares All in "Chance of a Lifetime (The Truth)"
You may have seen Cory Singer on TikTok spreading awareness about living with autism, but much more lies beneath the surface. Before the app blossomed, Singer was already turning heads and making a name for himself for a decade and shows no signs of stopping. His latest single “Chance of a Lifetime (The Truth)” released on Friday and tells the story of letting love go when there’s no reason to hold on anymore.

In less than four years, Cory Singer has become a singer-songwriter, performer, and social media & TikTok influencer who has touched the lives of millions. With over 412k followers and 14.3 million likes (TikTok) and full verification across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, he promotes positivity by inspiring others with his unique brand, music and personal experiences having autism himself. Singer’s accomplishments include BRAVO TV’s singing competition "The Kandi Factory," winning the grand prize (single and music video release), as well as being nominated for Best Vocal Performance in 2013 for his role in Tony Award Winner Joe DiPietro’s “The Last Romance” in Broadway World Magazine. Recently, he was asked to perform at the NHL New Jersey Devils Autism Acceptance Night. He is on the board of directors for the I Am Able Foundation, as well as an ambassador for the Sound Mind Network.
Cory Singer’s alternate version of an already beautiful track “Chance of a Lifetime (The Truth)” really does put the song’s story into a new perspective. The chorus lyric change to “You had the chance of a lifetime/ But you threw it away/ I hope you will never forget/ The sad mistake that you made” describes how Singer truly feels that his ex lover missed out on a wonderful experience by ending their relationship. Like the old adage says, you don’t truly know what you have until it’s gone, and it’s quite bittersweet.
Singer’s point of view is poignant- he knows his worth and we should too. Despite the heartache, there is a light at the end of the tunnel in the sweeping instrumentals and Singer’s powerful tone. As an inspiration for many, Singer shows resilience in “The Truth” that is incredibly satisfying to hear.
