Conner Sweet releases new single "Time Like These"

With COVID-19 continuing to rage on through 2020, many across the country remain unsure, frightened, and confused about what the foreseeable future looks like in a “new normal”. Now more than ever, it’s imperative to reach out to those around us, listen, and support one another whenever we can. Conner Sweet released his debut single, “Times Like These” on May 1st, and followed it up with a stunning lyric video on July 13th. Since its release, the lyrics have only become more relatable as each day passes. The song focuses on the value of leaning on one another, supporting those around you, and realizing what is most important.

Sweet’s chorus echos the significance of stopping for a moment to acknowledge the present. We are constantly captured by our ambitions, and swept away from what’s happening right next to us. 

“In times like these you drop what you’re doing/ Push your way through it/ Pray a little harder/ Believe in one another/ ‘Cause what matters most is clear as it can be/ In times like these”

The Nashville native has been writing songs since the age of 16. With influences from artists such as Johnny Cash, George Strait, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan, It’s no surprise that his music is rich with authenticity. 

“I wake up every day grateful that I get to write songs and make music for a living. It’s what I have always dreamed of, and I know, regardless of the size of the stage, I will always be on one somewhere.”
