A standout female voice and storyteller in today’s country landscape, Ashley Anne, announces her upcoming EP, Generational Heartbreak, out Friday, May 1st, alongside the release of her highly anticipated new single, “Paloma.” Equal parts playful, aspirational, and sharply observant, the track captures Ashley’s gift for turning fleeting moments into unforgettable country storytelling.

Inspired by a girls’ night out celebrating one of her best friend’s birthdays, “Paloma” was born from a moment that instantly struck Ashley as both funny and symbolic.

‘Paloma’ was written after a girls’ night out celebrating one of my best friend’s birthdays. I had freshly turned 21 and had yet to figure out my more mature taste for certain cocktails. Out of fun, my girl Laci Kaye Booth let me take a sip of her paloma. I remember it tasting so bitter and thinking to myself, ‘it takes a mature woman to enjoy this drink, and that’s hot.’ I wrote the title down in my phone and rambled about how I aspired to be the girl who could handle the sour taste of a paloma, because that’s hot,” shares Ashley.

That spark of inspiration quickly evolved into one of Ashley’s most irresistible releases yet, using the cocktail as a metaphor for womanhood, confidence, and stepping into a more self-assured version of yourself. The song has already caught the attention of Laci Kaye Booth and earned early support from Carly Pearce and Avery Anna, building anticipation for what is shaping up to be a defining release moment for Ashley. Most recently, Ashley performed at Song Suffragettes’ 12th Anniversary show honoring Carly Pearce at The Listening Room, further cementing her growing presence among country music’s rising female voices.

A Virginia Beach native, Ashley has steadily built a loyal fan base through her signature emotional transparency, with releases like “couch surfing,” her debut EP dear dolly, and sophomore project call me when you land. Most recently, she entered an exciting new chapter after signing an exclusive management agreement with One Spark Entertainment, signaling a sharpened creative vision and continued upward momentum.

Named an Artist to Watch in 2026 by 1883 Magazine and Galore, and previously recognized by Holler, Sweety High, Women of Country, and Spotify’s Fresh Finds Class of 2024, Ashley’s rise has been fueled by both critical acclaim and an undeniable connection with listeners. Her previous single, “Love Looks Like,” landed her on the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Country playlist, with Spotify also naming it one of its Fresh Finds Favorites. She has shared the stage with Avery Anna, Charles Wesley Godwin, Tigirlily Gold, and Josh Turner, performed at CMA Fest in both 2024 and 2025, made a spotlight appearance at Spotify House, and recently wrapped a 12-city run opening for Maddox Batson. She is currently on the road supporting Avery Anna and Max McNown on select dates.

With “Paloma” setting the tone, Generational Heartbreak promises to be Ashley Anne’s most exciting project yet, blending sharp country storytelling, a distinctly feminine perspective, and emotional honesty into a collection poised to deepen her connection with fans and usher in a bold new chapter of her artistry.
