Brian P. Matheny unleashes his full length album 'The Canary and The Cage'



Once in awhile you find an unexpected surprise in your inbox and this is one of them. Brian P. Matheny is an artist. He really is an artist of art and music. His album art caught our eye and then we dove into his music because we were just curious. His body of work on this album is as abstract as his artwork. The album was constructed with realism and amazing musicianship. He reminds us of Bob Dylan, a true storyteller but then again he delivers his lyrics with the grit of Tom Petty and an authenticity that you can't quite pin down. He is truly unique. Notes of Blues and Rock nestle him into that indie/alternative landscape. Truly worth a listen...over and over again. Addictive. He left us wanting more.
