Rachel Reinert Showcases Her Career by Creating Her Own Story

Embracing the journey on your solo career takes courage, patience, and faith. When Rachel Reinert was 18-years-old, she joined the country group, Gloriana. They instantly shot to the top with instant hits, like "Wild At Heart," and the platinum selling "(Kissed You) Good Night".

In 2015, Rachel decided to walk away from the Gloriana and the team behind her to begin her journey of becoming the solo artist she knew she was meant to be.

Rachel began her own journey by developing her sound and image for her solo career. Rachel Reinert showcases her own musical journey with the release of her debut single, 'Cool'.

What does your debut single, "Cool" mean to you? It means everything to me. I’ve been working on my solo album for the last 2.5 years, and I had this goal/vision for my sound to be this Laurel Canyon/California country vibe. I think this song really captures that essence.

What made you want to release that song for your first single? It’s a song with a subject matter that I think rarely ever gets touched on. It’s a love story, but not with a typical ending-and it comes from my own experience. To go from this intense love, to messy breakup, to harboring bad feelings, but then eventually developing a friendship with that person over time...that’s hard for me and I know it’s hard for other people. Hopefully, they can relate and feel what I have felt in living/creating this song. It’s a happy ending, but in a different way. And ultimately, its reflecting on those life altering relationships and realizing that you wouldn’t be who and where you are without those big life experiences.

You're originally from the popular group, Gloriana. How has that impacted your career? Greatly. It was an 8 year journey that taught me so much about the music industry, performing, songwriting, radio, touring, etc. I like to look back on it as this amazing time in my life that got me a huge jump start and prepared me for my solo career. I’m incredibly thankful for everything I experienced and every opportunity that came my way during that time.

What advice would you give to other females? Trust yourself. Be true to who you are. Don’t let outside influences get in your way and try to tell you “what the odds are." Those kind of opinions will only derail you. Stay the course and just keep going.

What can fans expect in the upcoming months? Hopefully more new music. I need to finish recording my album! I’m also ready to get back out on the road again-so hopefully some touring/live performances.
