KEMME Debuts with Poof

Thank you for chatting with Music Update Central! You just released your debut single, “Poof”.

What’s the inspiration behind the single? What’re your goals?

For the EP in general, I wanted the music to embody film: pulling listeners into someone else’s reality, making them feel what the subject feels. “Poof” is a sonic scary movie. I want listeners to feel like their own life is on the line.

Your uncle was the great rock icon, Tom Petty. How has this shaped your style and musical career?

Tom was a master of songwriting, specifically lyrics and melody. These two aspects of music have always stood paramount to me.

What can fans expect in the future?

My second single, “Too Deep,” will drop April 16th. The full EP will drop early June, and the visuals will be released later in the summer. After that, I’m just going to continue creating.
