Cassadee Pope's New Single Takes You Right to Home

For the past year, Cassadee Pope has used music as therapy to help get her through a very rough year in both her personal life and professionally. After ending a long-term relationship and leaving her record label, the season 3 winner of The Voice released her new single ‘Take You Home.’ This is Pope’s first release since her 2016 EP, Summer.

This song is unlike any other “take you home” song. Most of these songs involve a guy and a girl that drink together at a bar or club and go home for one evening of fun and wake up and never really talk ever again. Pope’s version of this storyline is one that’s more heartwarming and shows love at first sight. This song was intriguing for Pope because it was her best friend, Emily Weisband who wrote the song. It was also unique because it was originally written to be from a men’s perspective. Pope has been living this love song in her personal life with her new boyfriend, who also was a star on CMT’s Nashville, Sam Palladio. Not only are the two a great pair together, but the possibility for the two to sing a song together would be a good way to make Palladio and Pope a power couple in Country Music.

This new star of country music has the natural ability to tell a story through her voice and this new single expresses that. Her early exposure to Blake Shelton and one of her biggest influences Kelly Clarkson have both given her tips and advice to take her talents to the highest level possible.
