Sam Johnston Releases His Debut Single 'The River', Available Now
Sam Johnston releases his debut single 'The River' to all digital platforms. 'The River' is a blend of bluesy, swampy, and passionate lyrics that will make you begging for more.
"The River is a super special song to me. I wrote it on a cabin porch in the mountains of Arkansas while I worked as a counselor at a summer camp when I was 19. This song was the result of my experiences with spirituality, temptation, and a lot of self-reflection while working at camp. I couldn’t find the sound for the lyrics until I picked up the slide guitar and it was instantaneous. A whole blend of bluesy, swampy, psychedelic goodness that never will get old to play."
