Interview: Clark Hill; Paving the Path with his Upcoming Debut Album Release
Clark Hill is sweeping the path to stardom with the release of his debut album 'People Like Me'/ With his first single, Perfect To Me, Hill chats about choosing that as his debut, upcoming release, and pursuing a musical career.

Thank you for chatting with Music Update Central! You’re gearing up for the release of your debut album ‘People Like Me’. What can fans expect with this release? For those that have been fans for a while , they can expect the music to be way better lol, we spent a long time picking and writing good songs that meant something to me and making sure we put the best sound down as possible. For new listeners, you’re gonna get to hear a lil bit about me. I’m a story teller, and although there is much more to tell, I think I gave everyone a decent opening statement on this album… I’m just not like everyone else.
You first single “Perfect To Me” received a lot of notable attention. It was also co-written by Chris Young and Rogers. What made you choose this as your first single? It’s simple really, I wanted to throw a different speed than most artist come out the gates with. As much as I am a high energy southern rocker, I am more passionate than anything… so starting off with a song that had deep meaning and feelings just seemed more true to who I am.
You’ll be putting on a album release party in your hometown Starke, FL. What are you most excited about this party? Just the fact that I continue to be blessed enough to give back to my hometown. I’ve enjoyed a lot of experiences in the last couple years, and although right now it may not mean much, one day when my success matches the dream, people can look back and truly say they experienced it WITH me!
When did you know that you wanted to pursue a musical career? Now THAT is a complicated question, but the simple answer would be...in 2012. During that year, I went through some personal issues. Sadly, trials aren’t new to me...I’ve made enough bad decisions in my life to know what consequences and heartache feel like, but that was an especially hard time for me. Losing, albeit temporarily, my wife, who I look to for my sense of emotional security, changed me. Some for the better, some not so much. Regardless, the outcome was that I rediscovered my love for music that had always existed, but was buried beneath a life that had seen its fair share of tribulations in a very short time.
