Review: Sugarland, 'Still the Same' but Even Better!

In 2011, Sugarland released "Tonight," their final single before their break. Since then, both Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush have pursued solo projects. At the close of 2017, the award winning multi-platinum duo, Sugarland announced they are working together again and released their new single 'Still the Same'.

“We are thrilled for fans to hear our new music, especially this new single,” said Nettles in a press statement. “The title of the song is so meaningful to us as we want fans to know, we are still the same, we are still the same Sugarland they’ve known and loved.”

In the chorus, Nettles asks, "Can we try to leave it better than how it came? Don't be afraid to change, our love is still the same" - lyrics that could definitely represent their the lengthy split but also can relate to anyone through rough times.

Throughout this single, you experience the astonishing guitar licks played by Bush and the legendary raspy vocals from Nettles. They've delivered a single that's on point for the current country music market. The market has shifted since their hits 'Baby Girl', 'Stay', 'Stuck Like Glue'; so will the comeback single make their listeners happy? We think they will be 100% satisfied and celebrate their triumphant return.

Following the single release, they announced their 2018 'Still the Same' Tour. Subscribe to their newsletter at www.sugarlandmusic.com as they will announce pre-sale on January 9th.
