Interview: Talent Shining Bright - Richlove

You'll be hearing the talent group, Richlove on the radio with their debut single 'Something In The Water'. Richlove discuss the inspiration behind the single, formation of band, and vacation spots.

Thank you for chatting with Music Update Central! Your debut single titled 'Something in the Water' showcases your talent. What's the inspiration behind the single? Matt and Chloe wrote Something in the Water a few days after we decided to form our band. The main idea of the song is to portray how it feels when you can’t help but say “Damn, this person is just killing it right now! I think everyone can relate to that feeling when you meet someone and you have that instant crush.

How did Richlove come to be? Most of us met from playing in the music scene around Seattle. Adam and Matt had worked on some previous projects together and the two of them along with Ben and Wes had been touring members of a band called He is We. Matt and Chloe have played music together for awhile and had always wanted to be in a band with these guys. So the idea of starting a band was brought up during a short film shoot and days later we were writing and doing our first photo shoot! Things just clicked with us.

What're your goals/plans for the rest of the year? For the rest of 2017, we are going to be focused on writing more music and getting our live set ready to start playing out! We’ve got another single lined up that should be released in the beginning of the new year and we will be doing a bunch of fun stuff like a podcast and various videos. We just want to start making new friends and get to know all the ones we’ve made already!

MUC Random: What's your favorite vacation spot? We’ve been fortunate to travel a bunch over the past few years and I think we all are very in love with the West Coast - Spots like the Oregon Coast, Vancouver B.C. and the most magical place in the world, Disneyland.
