Icon Entertainment’s Johnny Cash Museum and Patsy Cline Museum captured two of the top three spots on USA Today’s highly competitive 10Best Music Museums in North America list.
“It’s a thrill and an honor to have our museums rank in the top three for USA Today's 10Best Music Museums in North America,” says Icon Entertainment CEO Bill Miller of the accolade.
Claiming the number one spot, the Patsy Cline Museum showcases the world’s largest collection of artifacts from Patsy Cline’s personal and professional life. Artifacts include awards, handwritten setlists, costumes created by Cline and her mother Hilda Hensley, and recreations of rooms inside Cline’s cherished home. Providing a rare and immersive experience into Cline’s life, the Patsy Cline Museum has been listed among the top attractions in Nashville by various outlets such as Billboard, Forbes, National Geographic and many more. The Patsy Cline Museum will celebrate its third anniversary on Saturday, April 4th featuring a special opportunity to meet and discuss the incredible legacy of Patsy Cline with her daughter Julie Fudge from 11 AM to 3 PM CT.
The Johnny Cash Museum, claiming the number three spot on the list, features the largest archive of Johnny Cash artifacts and memorabilia in the world. The fully interactive exhibits chronicle Johnny’s life and provide a unique glimpse into his world, featuring artifacts including handwritten lyrics to “I Walk the Line” and “Folsom Prison Blues,” stage costumes, instruments, personal letters, artwork and more. Cash family members frequently appear at the museum for meet and greets. The Johnny Cash Museum most recently made national news when founder Bill Miller was presented by Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall with the archive of the "Deputy Sheriff Commission Card" originally presented to Johnny Cash on September 12, 1979. Featuring Johnny's photo, fingerprint and signature, the deputy sheriff card was issued to Johnny by then Davidson County Sheriff Fate Thomas.
