Hailing from Waggaman, Louisiana, Kayla Woodson isn't letting anyone stand in her light. With the release of her newest single "Unfixable", Kayla showcases her vulnerability and expresses emotions most of us don't want to talk about.
"Unfixable is a song that I knew needed to be my next single. Going into the write, my co-writer, Andrew Peebles came in with this idea of a relationship being unfixable. It stemmed into this idea of knowing that you should not be with a particular person, but you love them so much that you can’t walk away. It’s that moment where you’re begging that person to hurt you so badly that you hate them enough to take that step. By the time we were done writing this song, I was in love with it."
Prior to releasing this single, Kayla auditioned for NBC's The Voice which featured coaches Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. However, Kayla didn't make it past the blind audition she still took home memories and advice that creates another layer to her musical career.
"It was such a great experience! Not only was it a fun moment for my career, but through that whole process, I learned so much about myself as an artist.
I started singing at a young age and have always known that I wanted to do it for the rest of my life."
Kayla is currently pursuing her musical career in Music City. To learn more about Kayla Woodson, please visit www.kaylawoodson.com.
