MCA Nashville’s exciting newcomer Jordan Davis claims the No.1 spot on the country airplay charts this week with his infectious debut single “Singles You Up”. Since its release, “Singles You Up” has continued to amass impressive streaming numbers hitting over 120M total worldwide streams after spending a month on the Spotify US Viral Chart (peaking at No.2) and even hitting the Spotify Global Viral Chart.
“From the bottom of my heart, I’m so grateful to the fans, country radio and everyone who helped make ‘Singles You Up’ the number one song in the country,” says Jordan. “Thank you for making this past year the best year of my life.”
Jordan just released his debut album Home State which marks the highest-selling debut album for a solo country artist this year selling 10,739 units in its first week and continues to outpace other solo debut country albums in sales. Jordan co-wrote all 12 tracks on Home State which was produced by his good friend Paul DiGiovanni.
Jordan continues to demonstrate his notable songwriting talent with a recent nomination for “Nashville Artist-Writer of the Year” from the Association of Independent Music Publishers after winning The Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Abe Olman Scholarship for Excellence two years ago. Past recipients of that prestigious award include John Legend and Bebe Rexha.
Last month, Jordan made his national TV debut with NBC’s TODAY and “Late Night With Seth Meyers” which can be viewed HERE and HERE. The Louisiana native recently wrapped his first headlining “White Wine and Whiskey Tour” with special guest Jillian Jacqueline and will hit the road on Jake Owen’s “Life’s Whatcha Make It Tour” this summer stopping at minor league baseball parks across the country.
