Country Singer/Songwriter Shelby Lee Lowe is currently working on brand new music for the future to accompany the release of his album last August. Shelby discuss inspiration in his musical career, writing, and much more!
When did you know that you wanted to pursue a musical career? My senior year in high school I sang "Paint me a Birmingham" on a dare at our talent show. No one at my school had any idea I could sing and the crowd reaction was amazing. That was when I decided I wanted to pursue a career music.
Any pre-show rituals? Sometimes before a show my band and I will say a special toast and have a drink. I always tune my guitar up before going on stage if that counts as a ritual.
One of your favorites co-writes and why? One of my favorites co-writes I have had would have to be Aaron Tippin. I grew up being a fan of his music, and it was a big deal for me to be able to write with him. He is also one of the most interesting people you will ever meet.
Do you have any upcoming projects you're working on? As of right now, I am still touring in support of my last album that came out last August, but I have been writing what I believe are great songs that would be great for my next album. Not sure yet when I will release new music, but it will be worth the wait!
